LET THE CHURCH DECLARE AND DISPLAY CHRIST TOGETHER
What a privilege I had to represent A2A Connections at the Lausanne 4 Congress in Incheon, Seoul from 22-28 September! God provided way beyond what we could think or ask or imagine. I flew to Korea with Gerhard , director of AIM and one of our Board members. We got lost on our first bus ride, travelling to Seoul when we should have just stayed in Incheon where the airport is. We got to our hotel eventually.
What a glorious gathering of 5000+ believers from across the globe. One of the first I met was from Greenland! We were welcomed by smiling, enthusiastic volunteers mostly from the Korean church. They served the global Body of Christ from day 1 – day 7 with smiles and blessings and directed us to the correct bus after a long day for all of us.
Each delegate was assigned to a table of 6. What a joy to get to know my table group members from India, Pakistan, Italy, Greece and the USA. We listened and learnt from each other after hearing excellent speakers from the platform. The morning session from Acts were a huge blessing and challenge. “Don’t be silent in the midst of a situation where truth-telling is needed “ Dr Anna Zachi; “Persecution has never killed the Church but a compromised Gospel will “ Dr Patrick Fung, were two of the challenging quotes to the Congress.
I had the opportunity to share the vision of A2A Connections at the Workplace Track. “African Marketplace believers strategic for the Gospel in the nations”. It’s with fear and trembling I stood before 1400+ delegates attending the Workplace track. God called and He did it! In 2010 at Lausanne 3, there were 20 delegates at the track. This year 28 % of the Congress delegates attended. God is on the move mobilising His people in the global marketplace. Join us as we move with God into the Nations in the global marketplace !
Networking and meeting fellow collaborators in person was such a huge bonus to attending the Congress. I met Jim Lapinski co-founder of Marketplace-Impact who A2A collaborates with hosting their Living on Purpose Foundations cohorts. Jo Plummer co-founder of BAM Global was also in attendance. I have been blessed by the BAM Global virtual events over the past 4 years.
I was so excited to meet the Madagascar delegation and enjoyed catching up with some of them and connecting with others for future collaboration with A2A. God is at work in Madagascar! I was able to get a photo with the delegation. The Malagasy people are such talented people . Pray for this nation as God calls it to be part of what He is doing in the Nations.
To whom much is given, much is required. I have been given much , I trust God to lead me and A2A into the future. Thank you to all who prayed for us as we travelled across continents. Thank you for being part of what God is doing in the Nations.
