OUR JOURNEY OF INSPIRATION AND IMPACT!
The Africa2Africa Connections (A2A) operational team, Marlene Ganga, Olga Plaatjies, CPC Elder, Keith Jantjes, Youth leaders, Kirsten Overmeyer and Lyle Johnson, recently undertook an exposure trip to Namibia, collaborating with Calvyn Protestant Church of SA & Namibia (CPCSA-Namibia) A2A and Africa Inland Mission (AIM) to support and serve fellow believers in sharing the Gospel of Jesus in Namibia.
Building Connections in Namibia
Our journey began in Rehoboth, where the staff of The Lighthouse Centre inspired us. They worked passionately, sharing the Love of Christ with children and youth, uplifting their lives through reading and skills training. After three impactful days at the Centre, our youth leaders returned to Cape Town filled with new inspiration and purpose.
In Windhoek, we attended a Church Leaders Missions Conference, engaging with like-minded believers and sharing A2A’s vision with a presentation and an exhibit. It was a blessing to connect with other leaders and organisations committed to Great Commission of Jesus Christ.
We also enjoyed fellowship with the KEG - CPC Outreach team and the local church community at CPC-Windhoek.
A blessed encounter was with the Engelbrecht family from CPC Matroosfontein, who leads Youth for Christ- Namibia (YFC) with remarkable dedication. Their inspiring work with children, youth, and women in Okahandja, through camps and prayer events, has opened doors for future collaboration.
Highlights of Our Experience
A memorial moment was our presentation at the Professionals in the Nations (PIN) conference at the University of Namibia, Khomasdal where we connected with students eager to live out their faith in the education sector.
In Divundu, we spent a wonderful time with Jinx and Dawn Reyneke, AIM missionaries and Business as Mission (BAM) entrepreneurs at the Nundu River Lodge, where their dedication to daily devotions, Bible studies, church planting, and community upliftment inspired us as a team.
Looking Ahead
On returning to Cape Town, we felt grateful for the experiences and connections made during our trip. The diverse cultures of Namibia left an impression, and we are looking forward to continuing engaging with our new community.
A2A stays committed to Connecting, Equipping, Empowering, and Supporting (C.E.E.S) marketplace believers.
